2nd time around… my wife got her tattoo she wanted! Thanks to Spiro! She is completely happy and we can put that whole thing behind us. He did a great job! Such an amazing before and after.First review:We came in for a coverup, my wife and I… so I’m writing this on her behalf. Now, full disclaimer: she didn’t know exactly what she wanted, but had some random ideas. She knew it would hurt some, since the previous tattoo did hurt, but not that much. It was years ago when she got it.She knew she wanted a coverup, we wanted to do a local joint. We came to Ai a couple of days later and talked to Ulissis (sp?). He was cool at first, listened to what she wanted, showed us some pics for ideas. We shared our ideas, he was enthusiastic to get started right away! He said he could cover up anything. No problem. Wow! The man is a master of his craft. Great! He showed us some work and wanted to hurry up and land an appt. He said he could knock it out in a couple of hours.We decided to do it the next few days. We preciously got some tattoos from another shop and we love them. So the next week she was ready to cover up her blatant pass on her ribs to move on.We get to the appt at 3pm, a little early… Ulissis didn’t show up until 10-15mins later. Didn’t greet us until 20-30mins later. He claimed he was tired and just wanted to sleep some more. He didn’t have the same enthusiasm as we were anticipating, it was more of he’s here and just to hurry up get it done. My wife had animosity at this point, she even mentioned let’s do this another time and forget the deposit. I told her to hang on maybe it will be a better experience.He asked if we had anything ideas for the tattoo. What?? Isn’t that something he was suppose to add to the table? Isn’t that why we did the consult? We showed and shared some ideas. We were waiting to see what he came up with…. Well, he didn’t. It was a bunch of google search stuff that he said he could do in 2hours or so. My wife becomes more uneasy.So, still despite her indecision and draining confidence in this man, she proceeds to the table. Jumps up on top and he ask again, what are we doing? Confused she claims that she was hoping he had more some original work… he didn’t have anything for us. He showed her a pic of a flower from google she said, and she thought it looked “ok”, so he wanted to get started.He placed it one way on her ribs and mention it to be higher up… she wanted it more to curve around the under the breast. He continued on and they ended up agreeing to start since it was getting late past the original time planned out. This is where she forgot that there a lot of nerves in the ribs area and it was going to hurt. She endured through the outline, and everything was going as planned I guess. I decided to leave to run errands. She said he would take multiple breaks and ask she needed one but she wanted to get his thing over with. Sooner the better, it hurt like hell. He still frequently took breaks and she laid there “dying and crying”…I get back and I see the tattoo is a little more on the actual flesh of the breast and needed some makeshift tape and napkin on her nipple. It wasn’t very effective, you could still see everything and it looked like some scotch tape and napkin combo from the restroom. But I know this is a professional place and it’s cool. This is done everyday… right? My wife didn’t feel very safe in that small environment, she said he wanted to “place the makeshift tape/napkin on her himself but I walked in so he couldn’t.” And proceeded to let her do it. She also said he made semi-lewd and childish saying to her as to lighter the mood. I don’t know… it’s weird, and kind of creeper vibes.Anyways, I’m running out of words. I know she didn’t speak up about it being lame tattoo, and the tattoo isn’t the worst I’ve seen, albeit it’s not a good coverup and the experience blows. Choose of colors wasn’t what we wanted, she is really creeped out by the place now and we’ll probably have to get it laser removed to put this all behind and drive by the shop and laugh.

went today around 3pm bc i went to sleep and the back of my tragus piercing came out and i couldn’t screw the back on. came here really nervous for no reason the guy at the front (i didn’t catch his name im sorry) was so sweet and offered to screw it back on for me but i did want to change my piercing to something different and oh my! the earrings choices are actually so so cute!! and at a good price too! would definitely recommend going to him he was very reassuring and very professional. (i got the skull earring to be more specific) 10/10

My experience at Artistic Impressions Tattoo Studio in Katy, TX was fantastic! I got my 4th tattoo and my largest tattoo, at that time, done by Hunter. The tattoo was of two butterflies and it turned out beautifully—better than i could have ever imagined. I gave him little to no direction, just a reference photo. Not only was the tattoo beautiful but the overall experience was more than I could have hoped for. A couple of months prior, I had a horrible experience getting a wasp tattooed in Kentucky. It was more painful than it should have been and I still have an ink blowout a year later. But with Hunter at Artistic Impressions in Katy, my anxieties quickly disappeared. I felt very comfortable and the entire tattoo was essentially painless. The first image attached is right after the tattoo was done and the second image attached is now (4 months later). Thanks Hunter!

Never had a tattoo before. Places like these usually make feel very out of place, but the people here are very friendly. They made me feel at home. The place is clean and sanitary. I had a great experience. Alex was great. He explained the process really well, made sure I was comfortable, and he did a great job with my first tattoo. Needless to say, highly recommended.

My dad passed away 3 years ago and he had been going to Spiro at AI for YEARS for all his work which was amazing! So it was a no brainer that I go to him to get my memorial tattoo for my dad. The tattoo i got was Amazing it was even better that I thought it could be. He is an amazing artist with so much experience under his belt. I already have another tattoo with him scheduled. Update: Hunter back at it again! He took the idea of what I had and perfected it! While it seems like a simple tattoo he helped me evolve it and give more meaning for what I wanted. He also did an awesome Mew on my friend and already gave him ideas on how to grow it into a masterpiece. Thanks again Hunter!My friend and I both went to see Hunter this weekend for a raccoon and possum after I recently got a fungus monster (one of Hunter’s favorites) Not only is the shop full of amazing variety of talent, a great and comfortable environment, walk-in friendly but Hunters color and line work are amazing!!! The fungus monster is the fully healed result and I couldn’t be more pleased! Highly recommend coming here.I’ve also gotten the lunar moth from Alex who did and amazing job and a sunflower piece done by Colton. Whatever your aesthetic there’s someone here who can match it. 🙂

As a regular, long term customer of Artistic Impressions, I have only good things to say about them. I have always been welcomed promptly and warmly by everyone there who are all helpful even during busy times. Their facility is very clean and comfortable, and while I use BB as my artist, I can overhear conversations between the other artists and clients. All of these sound polite and engaging as well as constructive. The artists all seem to put the client first and want promote a level of comfort and confidence as this is a fairly permanent thing.

A tattoo is permanent in most cases so finding the right artist is very important. I went to Artistic Impressions & was introduced to G. I showed him my inspiration pics & we collaborated for the final result. I’m almost sure he had wished for an easier client after the 1st 10mins lol, my attention to detail definitely prolonged the prep, the placement took longer than the tattoo itself. G was patient he didn’t show frustration with me, I have much appreciation as this is a big decision & commitment. My tattoos came out better than I imagined. I’ll definitely be back & refer others. Went to their 14th Annual Party! The line went by so quickly and staff super friendly! They even had refreshments and we were under shade! “G”….Gideon was the best! My daughter and I walked in and were completely at ease. I went in to get a tattoo on my side that simply read “my journey” from breast cancer. “G” was so patient helping me find the perfect font and placement in a private area on my body. Don't go to get a single ear lobe piercing. I went in to get a SINGLE ear lobe piercing, got assigned to Chase which treated me like i was an inconvenience, got charged $75 for a Single Ear Lobe Piercing, and it was lopsided. I asked if that's how it was supposed to look, he shrugged me off and said yes, I later got it redone at Pins and Needles for $15 and they said they're constantly fixing these people's problems.

We went to get our ears pierced by Lee. He was wonderful. He was so calm and the atmosphere in the shop was nice as well. He let us pick our jewelry explained the pricing. He drew the position of the piercing and let us look at it.The actual piercing hurt very little and I had no swelling or pain at all after and was even able to sleep on my side. Best piercing I ever gotten, will definitely go back.

Came in for a walk-in on a Saturday around lunch, wait was a little long (2.5 hours) because of some miscommunication between the receptionist. But Spiro did my tattoo on my ribs and he was phenomenal. Very nice and gentle and funny. Very pleased with my art. 10/10 would recommend.

Okay, so two months ago I set up an appointment for a tattoo with Chase. I put down my deposit, and showed him the image I wanted and where I wanted it, which was wrapping around my forearm. Now, I don't know if he was paying ANY attention to me when I was telling him what I wanted because TODAY was my appointment and he CAN'T do the tattoo I wanted. Is it not common practice to at least have an idea or tell me BEFORE I make the appointment that he is unable to do it? APPARENTLY NOT HERE. So, I waited two months for this and he can't even do it AND I can't get my deposit back.

I have gone to Artistic Impressions twice for tattoos and absolutely loved it!

However, I went to the Cypress location for a consult on a tattoo and was highly disappointment. I drove 30-35 miles for a consult that I was told I had to do only to be told that the only person not booked for that day was not there. I was told to take that artists card and contact him and that he would always take my information and have him contact me. I have yet to receive any form of communication from them and had to drive 30-35 miles back home after speaking to someone for 5 min.

I will not be returning unfortunately.

I brought my daughter there for a piercing. The guy who does that was so condescending. And after going through the experience of his personality he pierced it crooked. I was scared to call the shop to say it was. Well I called anyway and I asked for the manager instead because I just didn’t want to talk to him. She was very pleasant and helpful so I thought ok its not going to be a big deal so I brought her back and wouldn’t ya know he kept saying it’s not crooked only after myself and my daughter telling him that she showed a couple friends and some teachers and they all agreed it was crooked did he offer to take the jewelry out for time to heal to repierce. I literally cried when I got to the car I was so emotional by the way he treated me. It was crazy.

I too drove almost 200 miles to get a cover up from supposedly " one of the best around"..... only to be told this COULD NOT BE DONE.... hard thing to listen to from artists who use this as their selling point to get you to the shop. As you all know, there is nothing worse to live with than a bad tattoo..... except to be told it CAN'T BE FIXED.... if you want to sell yourself as the best cover up artists around, I guess you probably should be able to back it up......

I've gone here for 2 of my piercings. My daith and tragus. Each one was a different guy and they were both great. Went to the new Cypress location and all I can say is greatest experience ever! Where I got my first tattoo was awful they did a good job but their customer service was very very poor. When I walked in to Artistic Impressions it was the exact opposite, you could feel the good vibes and energy when you walked in the door and instead of arguing over who was going to take the next customer they asked me what I wanted and matched me with the artist that was going to do the best job. Went in to see Xavier on a recommendation and he was awesome. Had to wait a few weeks to get a scheduled time with him, but it was well worth that wait. He did such a good job, my wife went and got hers done with Xavier. He had a cancellation the next day after hers and took me in for another one. I highly recommend this place and specifically Henry Garza! I came to him with only the basics of what I wanted, no clue how I wanted it to look and the fear that he would turn me away because of that. He was awesome from the moment I met him. Truly an artist. He had a rough sketch drawn out and drew the design on my body. I mean it was so effortless for him. I LOVED that he drew it on me to match my body's shape and make it flow with my body's natural curve. I got it on my ribs and his personality alone made the pain bearable. I set up 2 sessions to get a cheetah with a verse below it and it looks absolutely FANTASTIC. Henry is by far the best I have ever seen! I wanted full color and no hard outline and it is perfect. Xavier has done a cover up for me earlier this year and is now working on another cover up for me. I always get compliments on his work because his work is just awesome, he is very detailed and takes care of his customer. The shop overall is the best I have been to, clean and the group is very nice and funny. While sitting there you get to see other tattoos being done and I have seen nothing but one amazing tattoo after another being done there.

So they kept my deposit and I don't get my tattoo. I drove to this shop twice to (which is an hour & a half from my house) to sign papers and pay my deposit.
